Policy on Assessment for Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training

All students and RPL candidates for Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training will be subject to assessment of their competencies in terms of the required competencies described in the Workplace Assessment and Training Package. While students and RPL candidates are invited to agree to undertake assessment it is understood that without assessment by a qualified assessor there is no evidence on which to award a statement of attainment or a qualification.

Assessment for students and RPL candidates will be by

1. practical demonstration of training and assessment

2. design and preparation of a three day seminar

3. an assessment instrument or exercise applicable to the seminar

4. promotional material for the seminar

5. the trainer's review process after the seminar

6. the trainer's comments in writing on feedback and continuous improvement, venue requirements, delivery methods, training aids, recruitment of participants, legal requirements, equal opportunity access, customisation of the seminar, language, literacy and numeracy issues.
