Assessment for 21576VIC Graduate Certificate in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and for RPL Candidates

All students and RPL candidates for 21576VIC Graduate Certificate in Neuro-Linguistic Programming will be subject to assessment of their competencies in terms of the required competencies described in the 21576VIC Graduate Certificate in Neuro-Linguistic Programming accreditation document (commercial in confidence). While students and RPL candidates are invited to agree to undertake assessment it is understood that without assessment by a qualified assessor there is no evidence on which to award a statement of attainment or a qualification. At the end of Part 1 and of Part 2 of 21576VIC Graduate Certificate in Neuro-Linguistic Programming there are two days of practical integration and assessment, followed by a written evaluation to be completed within three months of the end of the training program. Candidates for Part 2 will be assessed on their modelling projects as well as the written integration. RPL candidates for Part 1 will attend an interview in person or by telephone and complete a questionnaire to establish the likelihood of their meeting the criteria for the unit(s) for which they seek RPL. Subject to satisfactory evidence they will be invited to join the Part 1assessment days by arrangement and subject to satisfactory performance will complete the written evaluation. The assessment instruments are code congruent with the training provided by Inspiritive. That is:
• They take place in a similar environment - the same training room if possible, or an approximately similar one.
• They use the same media: interactive exercises, New Code games, presentations, NLP processes as in the training.
• They are designed to integrate the skills learned in the course and facilitate unconscious competence.
• They are designed to facilitate the transfer of learning to all contexts of daily life and special events.
• They are designed to elicit evidence of unconscious competence with the material.
• They are designed to facilitate generalised application of NLP to participants' environments and activities.
• They are designed to facilitate stacked use of NLP patterns in participants' own expressions of the patterns
• They take place individually, in pairs, threes, or fours with the same participants as in the training with the addition of any repeaters and RPL candidates who may be present.
• They are conducted by the same trainers and at least one qualified assessor for the programme (who may or may not be one of the trainers).

Assessment includes

(1) a complete piece of work with a partner in the role of client and a complete piece of work with a partner in the role of operator
(2) an impromptu presentation on an NLP topic to be determined according to criteria set out below
(3) participation in assessment exercises according to the level of assessment at Part 1 or Part 2 in keeping with the criteria set out below
(4) a written evaluation which is given at the end of the practical assessment period subject to satisfactory performance in the practical assessment. Participants have three months to complete the written evaluation and may use any materials to assist them provided proper referencing and attribution is included with their answers.

Presentation Questions for Parts 1 and 2 of the Graduate Certificate in NLP Assessment and RPL Candidates

Each candidate is required to make an impromptu presentation of three to five minutes in length for Part 1 and five to seven minutes for Part 2. Individual presentations at the level of the assessment are selected to extend participants' experience and provide an additional learning experience for the group.

A Complete Piece of Work of the "Client's" choice for Parts 1 and 2 of the Graduate Certificate in NLP Assessment and RPL Candidates

These are performed in pairs with each participant taking a turn in each role. Information is gathered and interventions are designed. Interventions for Part 1 are checked by a trainer or coach before they are performed.

Revision and Assessment Exercises for Part 1 and Part 2 Assessment and RPL Candidates

Revision and assessment exercises from the level under assessment are chosen at random and performed in pairs or trios. Opportunities are provided for individual participants to experience specific revision pieces.

In the assessment exercises and complete piece of work it is assumed that as consultants, participants will

• Establish and maintain rapport with their subject at all times,
• Elicit a well formed outcome,
• Gather high quality, relevant information,
• Ensure that all outcomes and interventions are ecological for the subject,
• Future pace their work into contexts of the subject's choice,
• Diverge from the specified exercise if there is evidence that different NLP interventions would be more suitable in obtaining the subject's outcome.
• Allow the subject to work content-free if they prefer
• Attend to process and be prepared, with rapport, to limit the amount of content offered by the subject.

In the assessment exercises and complete piece of work it is assumed that as "clients", participants will

• Choose an outcome or content area to work with that they believe to be appropriate for the exercise and skill level of their partner,
• Co-operate with the consultant and raise any questions or objections they have at the earliest opportunity,
• Offer constructive feedback to the consultant during and after the process as appropriate,
• Use the opportunity to further their own learning.
• Choose whether to divulge content or work content-free.
