The New Code of NLP ; A Special NLP Masterclass with NLP Trainer Chris Collingwood - Wednesday evening 11th August 2010

Chris will present, discuss and demonstrate the latest development in NLP, John Grinder and Carmen Bostic's fundamental reorganization of Neuro-Linguistic Programming - New Code NLP.

New Code NLP is a essentially a different way of working that produces generative change. Its application supports and develops the creativity of both the NLP consultant and client.

This special masterclass in New Code NLP is an opportunity for people new to NLP as well as practitioners, master practitioners and trainers of NLP to have a taste of the most significant development in NLP in the last ten years.

For those who have already had training in standard NLP (known as the classic code of NLP), experience and training in New Code NLP will enhance the skills you already have so that you can work more cleanly, more effectively and more quickly to produce great results for yourself and your clients.

About NLP Masterclasses

We believe that our students and graduates would appreciate a cost-effective opportunity to continue their NLP development and have somewhere to get supervised practice. We are also aware that practice groups can be hard work for their managers and committees and often do not attract enough participants.

We have lent support to a number of practice groups, but felt it inappropriate to have a training organization running one directly.  The most successful model has a convener or a committee, and organises a presenter for each meeting. This is great in principle, but finding a steady stream of interesting, knowledgeable people is not easy.

The standard model requires trainer skills and the grant of authority, otherwise the group is liable to fall apart through too much or too little structure. The most successful variant has a syllabus, revision program or manual to work through, and someone, usually on a trainer track, to run it.

Then there is a master class. This is fun for all parties and appropriate for us to offer.  It requires experienced trainers who know their subject well. They need to be comfortable trawling the group for material to use in the class, every time. There is no preparation time and the delivery must be up to standard. This is the most fun form of training delivery for people who do know their stuff. Often, something new comes out of a master class.

The idea of a master class comes from classical music. There, an expert gives a lesson to an advanced student or students in front of an audience of other students, professionals and interested observers. The expert does not know what the lesson will cover until the subject student starts to play.

Our master class will be structured like an NLP training class, but we shall run with topics and applications of interest to the people on the night. Sometimes we might propose developing a new process or recoding something. There might be a request to apply particular patterns in a new context or to develop the use of a combination of patterns with different people. There could be a supervision request, how to work with someone with specific qualities and outcomes. The options are wide open.

There will be some presentation, with a demonstration and exercise. There will also be the option of doing something else in the exercise time, with coaching, if you prefer to do that.

We also needed a showcase for people wanting to know more about NLP before deciding to train, and for your interested friends, colleagues and family to get something clearer than a verbal description.  We know how difficult that can be.  So this class is open to interested people wanting an introduction to NLP. What better way than participating in a real class. These people may provide the opportunity to do some real work with someone who is not trained in NLP, so they get the benefit of live experience and you get supervised practice with realistic subjects.

The New Code is ideal for training advanced material to mixed level groups. John Grinder does this routinely and we are familiar with the process, too. This is something you may not have seen, as certification training takes a whole group through similar stages together. We shall be able to pursue your interests in depth and keep the attention of our visitors and explorers at the same time.

With an hour at the end of the evening for free interaction, you will have time to socialise and network if you choose.

Master classes in Sydney will run on a Wednesday each month from 7.00 pm to 9.30.  The evening will begin with information gathering, followed by development and demonstration and a practical exercise. There will be the option of using exercise time for personal work or for advanced students to work with newcomers to NLP to ensure that all participants have a high quality experience and the chance to benefit personally.

There will be a small charge of $19.95 to contribute to the costs of the venue. Our intent is to provide an opportunity for you to develop your NLP and meet people from other classes and for interested newcomers to have an experience of live NLP in a real classroom situation.  We would love to be able to offer this for nothing in the long term, but even without trainer fees, there are unavoidable costs involved and we want to provide conducive surroundings.  The Medina on Crown, 359 Crown Street, Surry Hills, Sydney is our regular training venue. You know it and how to find it and our newcomers will appreciate knowing where they will come to train when they choose to.
