Australian exclusive for 2003

A chance to be trained in NLP by Dr. John Grinder the co-creator of NLP, and Carmen Bostic St. Clair

Past Highlight Sydney, Australia September 25th-29th 2003

John Grinder and Carmen Bostic St. Clair are visiting Sydney to provide training with Jules and Chris Collingwood of Inspiritive.

John and Carmen will deliver a five day seminar on modeling - the core activity that defines NLP.

Learn to model with the leading NLP modelers John Grinder and partner Carmen Bostic St Clair

During this seminar you will learn how to:

  • select a model of excellence

  • prepare yourself to model effectively

  • model tacitly (so that you can demonstrate the skill)

  • test your new skill against the model's standard

  • model yourself

Modeling - the heart of NLP

"...modeling is the core activity that defines NLP" (p.271 Bostic St Clair & Grinder). John Grinder and Richard Bandler developed the original models of NLP that began the field in the mid seventies. Since that time Grinder has continued with his explorations, developed new models of human excellence and simplified, improved and re coded NLP to produce the "new code of NLP".

Advance your modeling skills through the new code of NLP

What is the New Code of NLP

People trained in the new code of NLP tend to be more effective, natural and ecological in applying NLP in their lives compared with people trained in the classic code.

The new code of NLP is an elegant simplification of the essential patterns of classic code NLP, with the addition of some important frameworks. These include:

  • Sorting NLP in terms of NLP modeling, NLP application or NLP training

  • Select and practically apply different codes for descriptions of patterns in NLP

  • Explicit framing of contexts

  • The roles of the conscious and unconscious mind

  • The New Code has an emphasis on students experiencing and using NLP with the full co-operation of their unconscious minds instead of just talking about it

Why learn to Model?

"Learning to model effectively opens up the possibility of learning anything you want to." Chris Collingwood

In addition to conventional methods of formal learning from audio-visual sources or teachers, as an NLP modeller you will be able to study human excellence at source (people who are models of excellence in any field that interests you). This seminar offers you implicit or tacit modeling and will enable you to learn as you did before you started school. The difference now is that you have choice in what and whom you model, and greater refinement in your ability to model.

Don't do as they Say: Do as they Do

Tacit modeling is the unconscious uptake of skill through observation and imitation in the presence of someone demonstrating with excellence. This step is a prerequisite to building an explicit description for transfer. Tacit modeling is essential for discovering new patterns.

The finer your micro-muscle matching of the model's physiology as they perform, the more accurate will your own performance become. In this phase of modeling, you will discover, with live models, how to use your own bodily and mental faculties to match the model's results in a similar time frame. You can bypass years of practice to reach excellence yourself by modeling the model's present performance. Often, the best exponents are unconscious of the essential elements of what they do, so could not teach you by conscious instruction. Equally, those experts who do offer conscious descriptions usually leave out the essential elements because they are unaware of them.

Five experts to model

During the seminar you will have the opportunity to model a number of people who are exceptionally able. Five models with different skills have been selected for NLP modeling by participants at the seminar. Having a choice of subjects to model will facilitate the generalisation of NLP modeling for course participants.

  1. Applicants holding short course Practitioner certification (7 day progams) may be interviewed to establish their skill level as this is an advanced program. The fee for the program will be the current price at the date of your final payment.
