Ambrose is a graduate of Sydney University where he was awarded a B.A Hons (Psy). He has a Graduate Diploma in Counselling from the Australian College of Applied Psychology, a Graduate Certificate in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, is a registered Psychologist, and a member of the APS.

Ambrose worked for many years as an Organisational Psychologist and Consultant, with such companies as Power Human Resource Development, DBM Australia, and Chandler Macleod, the latter as Senior Psychologist. He has many years' experience working in the finance industry with ANZ, Australian Bank and Indosuez Australia Ltd, and has also initiated his own small business projects.

His career has been principally one of consulting and assisted organisations with their human resource needs from psychometric assessment for personnel selection, to job analysis and design and establishing performance management and appraisal coaching systems.  He is experienced in executive coaching, team development, succession planning, outplacement and vocational guidance.  He has consulted to companies across the board, including heavy industry, mining & transport, medical, manufacturing, professional services firms, to the financial and securities industry.

Ambrose is also an experienced trainer. He has delivered training workshops on a range of topics from Sales to Interpersonal Skills, (Active Listening, Conflict Resolution, and Non Verbal Communication), to Management and Supervision programmes, Interview Techniques training, Networking, Stress Management and Coping with Workplace Change.
